Instruments Development
Part of our activity is devoted to the development and improvement of optical instrumentation for calcium imaging, voltage imaging and optical stimulation. We are accomplishing this task in collaboration with Cairn Research Ltd, Starting from prototypes developed in the laboratory, our systems become commercially available.
The dichroic pinhole (left) used to combine localised photostimulation and whole-field fluorescence imaging. Light come from a LED trigged with digital TTL pulses, it is directed to the objective using a dichroic mirror, and fluorescence emission is filtered and acquired using a CCD camera.
